Product Code: QA-ACP01 Molecular Formula: C47H75N13O15 (ACP 65-74 amide)

Overview

Acyl carrier protein (ACP) is a small, highly soluble protein that serves as an essential cofactor in fatty acid and polyketide biosynthesis. ACP is one of the most abundant proteins in E. coli cells and functions by covalently attaching acyl intermediates via a 4′-phosphopantetheine group linked to a conserved serine residue. The apo-ACP form is inactive and requires conversion to the holo form by holo-ACP synthase (AcpS) for biological activity.
