Angiogenin (ANG)
Product Code: QA-ANG01 CAS Number: 112173-49-6 (Angiogenin 108-122) Sequence: ENGLPVHLDQSIFRR (108-122) Molecular Formula: C78H125N25O23 (108-122)
Overview
Angiogenin (ANG), also known as ribonuclease 5, is a 123-amino acid protein belonging to the pancreatic ribonuclease A superfamily. It was initially isolated from tumor cells and is a potent inducer of angiogenesis. ANG binds to actin on endothelial cell surfaces, accumulates in the nucleolus, and stimulates ribosomal transcription.
Key Features
- Key functional fragments (108-122, 108-123) available
- Member of the RNase A superfamily with ~35% homology to pancreatic RNases
- Implicated in both angiogenesis and tRNA stress response
- Validated target for anti-angiogenic cancer therapy
