Apelin Peptides
Product Code: QA-APL01 CAS Number: 217082-58-1 (Apelin-13, human) Sequence: QRPRLSHKGPMPF (Apelin-13, human) Molecular Formula: C69H108N21O16S (Apelin-13)
Overview
Apelin is an endogenous peptide ligand for the G-protein-coupled APJ receptor (apelin receptor). Encoded by the APLN gene, apelin is expressed in various tissues and plays important roles in cardiovascular regulation, fluid homeostasis, glucose metabolism, and angiogenesis. The peptide exists in multiple active isoforms including apelin-36, apelin-17, apelin-13, and pyroglutamyl-apelin-13.
Key Features
- Full-length Apelin-36 (human) available
- Apelin-13 (active short isoform) with high receptor affinity
- Pyroglutamyl-modified (Glp1)-Apelin-13 for enhanced stability
- Core ligand for APJ receptor pharmacology
