Chemokine Peptides

Overview

Chemokines are a family of small cytokines (8–10 kDa) characterized by four conserved cysteine residues that maintain their three-dimensional structure. They are classified into four subfamilies — CC, CXC, C, and CX3C — and signal through G protein-coupled chemokine receptors on target cells. Chemokines direct leukocyte migration, promote angiogenesis, and recruit immune cells to sites of infection or tissue injury.
