Endothelin Peptide
Overview
Endothelins are 21-amino-acid vasoconstricting peptides that play a critical role in maintaining vascular homeostasis. Three isoforms have been identified: endothelin-1 (ET-1), endothelin-2 (ET-2), and endothelin-3 (ET-3). ET-1 is the most potent endogenous vasoconstrictor known and is implicated in the development and progression of cardiovascular diseases including atherosclerosis and hypertension.
