GnRH Peptides

Overview

Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) is a tropic peptide hormone synthesized and released from specialized neurons in the hypothalamus. As the master regulator of the reproductive axis, GnRH stimulates the anterior pituitary to release follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which in turn govern gonadal function, steroidogenesis, and gametogenesis. The pulsatile pattern of GnRH secretion is critical for normal reproductive physiology.
