Valorphin and Related Peptide
Overview
Valorphin (VV-hemorphin-5) is an endogenous opioid heptapeptide (VVYPWTQ) produced by proteolytic cleavage of the β-chain of hemoglobin. It preferentially binds μ-opioid receptors and exhibits both analgesic and antiproliferative properties. QYAOBIO supplies valorphin and its N-terminally extended analog Leu-Valorphin-Arg.
Key Features
- Endogenous hemoglobin-derived opioid peptide
- μ-opioid receptor preferential binding
- Also available: Leu-Valorphin-Arg extended analog
